346 Acre Hunting Ranch

Great hunting with 1.2 miles of live creek frontage on Arenosa Creek, about 200 acres of hardwoods (oaks, pecans, hickory) and about 500 acres of pasture with mesquite and huisache.  It is located about 2 miles south of US 59 between Edna and Inez. There are numerous small natural lakes (1/4 to 1 acre) scattered in the creek bottom and one pond that the owners built. There are over 2 miles of built up all weather roads. The place is a sportsman’s paradise.  The owners have been carefully managing their deer harvest since they have owned the ranch and the deer quality has skyrocketed as the bucks have been able to mature. The owner killed a 164” whitetail on the property.  Buck to doe ratio is very solid.  Lots of hogs, great turkey hunting, good duck hunting in the creek bottom, especially for wood ducks, mallards and a mix of other ducks.  Bobcats, coyotes, squirrels and many other small game are on the ranch.  Good dove hunting and could be better with planting of food crops, not many quail though an occasional covey will materialize. Of course, Texas favorite pest, the feral hog, can be found.

Going south on I 59 about 6 miles west of Edna take the FM 234 exit. Go south on FM 234 and go under I-59. Turn west on the CR (west) about one half miles to CR 317 (Babb Lane) and turn left (south).  Go about one and a quarter mile to CR 3171 and turn right (west). In less than a mile the property will start on your left just past the Gideon Church.
